Terminal 1 for your pleasant flight to Narita
International Airport, Tokyo.
Day
2: Tokyo / Shirakaba Highlands (L/D)
Upon arrival, meet and greet by our Japan representative.
Start the day by traveling to the beautiful
Shirakaba Highlands, the home of nature where
the colors of the four seasons are beautiful.
A unique lunch awaits you at the "Oginoya".
Founded in 1885, this restaurant cooks fresh
local food from mountain, maintaining their
traditional taste for more than one hundred
years, served in a famous traditional clay pot
similarly used by the Japanese Imperial Families.
After lunch you may keep the clay pot as a souvenir,
then en-route to Shirakaba Resort, experience
the efflorescence of springtime and in summer
catch a cool refreshing breeze. Surround yourself
with the crimson foliage in autumn. Visit the
splendid works of art at the art gallery featuring
silhouette drawing and cutouts, glass art, and
music boxes from around the world.
After which transfer to hotel for a well-deserved
rest and the rest of the day is free to relax
and enjoy all the fantastic sights of these
beautiful picturesque surroundings or pamper
yourself in one of the fantastic, fascinating
indoor / outdoor hot spring baths "onsen" as
well as the cave onsen spa! In the evening,
you will get to put on the Japanese Yukata and
enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner in the hotel.

Suji, you can enjoy Edo-like atmosphere with
the sound of water trickling at your feet and
the sight of saka-baysashi, large balls made
of cedar leaves that hang from the eaves of
sake breweries, the lattice work of the houses,
and the curtains that hang at the entrances
of the older stores.
Next a lovely journey through the lochs and
mountains as we make our way to Shirakawa-go
Village, designated in 1995 as part of the World
Heritage. Its architectural structure known
as "gassho-zukuri" (a house with a thatched
gable roof, so name because of its shape resembling
hands clasped in prayer: "gassho"), steeply
