3D2N Ancient Bagan & Mount Popa

DAY 1: YANGON / BAGAN (L/D)
Leave from Yangon to Bagan by domestic flight. Full day tour includes Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Kubyaykkyi Temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes; Shwegugyi Temple, noted for fine stucco carvings and panoramic views of the area's many monuments and Ananda Temple, with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior. Drive to hotel for Check in. Proceed to Peace and Silent Restaurant by Myanmar Horse Cart. After lunch, drive to Traditional Handicraft workshop, where you can observe the lacquerware-making using traditional method. Continue sightseeing by Horse Carts. See Manuha Temple built in 1059 in the Mon style, and Nanbaya Temple, said to have once been the palace of King Manuha. At Myazedi Pagoda and Bupaya Pagoda, have a panoramic view of the Ayeyarwaddy River and the many ancient monuments which make Bagan as one of Asia's most impressive archaeological sites. In the evening, proceed to the bank of Ayerwaddy River where we watch the sunset on the river by Boat. Dinners are enjoyed at local restaurant with Traditional Entertainment (Puppet Show and Bagan Dance Performance). Overnight at hotel.

DAY 2: BAGAN / MT POPA (B/L/D)
Morning excursion to the enchanting Mount Popa, a great extinct volcano situated about 67 km southeast of Bagan, via Kyaukpadaung. On the way, see the way of life of a Toddy climber and Toddy sap, and traditional peanut oil producing and brewing, the livelihood of rural people. You can also observe the locals' education and daily life. Mt. Popa, which stands out as a green clad landmark in the Dry Zone, is a place of special importance in Myanmar, bearing culture, history and legends. Tour highlights: toddy palm groves and jaggery, cottage industry; Kyaukpadaung Market; Popa Village; and the famous Popa Taungkalat, a tower like volcanic plug lying on the south western slope of Mount Popa. Overnight in Popa.

DAY 3: MT POPA / BAGAN / YANGON (B)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to Bagan and fly back to Yangon.
