Greg Norman designed the 45 holes at the exclusive Real Club de Golf El Prat. Set in the beautiful rolling countryside of the Sant Llorenc Munt I I’Obac Natural Park, the course layout is challenging with fairways that weave through the woodlands, and large greens with tricky run off areas. Host of the Spanish Open in 2011 and 2015.

Barcelona Golf Club (Spain)
Founded in 1990, the 27-hole course at the Barcelona Golf Club was designed by Spanish golfing great Jose Maria Olazabal. Located on the border of the Penedes wine-growing region, the course offers some spectacular views of the Montserrat Mountain. This undulating and narrow course is up there with the best, with its championship ‘Masia Course’ having hosted the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters.

Llaveneras Golf Club (Spain)
Llavaneras was founded in 1945 in the lovely county of Maresme, and showcases stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Catalonian mountains. This par 70 course features five par 3s, and only three par 5s measuring at 5,024m. Although fairly short, the course is challenging with narrow fairways, tricky water hazards and well-bunkered greens.

Home of the Volvo World Matchplay Championships in 2009, 2011 and 2012, Finca Cortesin is one of Spain’s best courses. This long and demanding par 72 course, which features five par 3s and 5 par 5s, is carved out from the natural Mediterranean hilly landscape of olive trees and corks. The perfectly manicured fairways and greens will make for a delightful round.

San Roque Club (Spain)
Of the two 18-hole courses at San Roque, the ‘Old Course’ is the pride of the club. Situated at the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja, this course has some dramatic undulations. Its fairways wind through mature cork oak forests, placing a premium on accuracy off the tee. La Quinta Golf & Country Club (Spain)
La Quinta hosted the Spanish Ladies Open and is now also home of the European Senior Tour. Located in the Benahavis Golf Valley surrounded by mountains, there are 3 scenic nines to play from. The San Pedro ‘A’ Course is fairly open with wide fairways, while the Ronda ‘B’ Course has narrow fairways with strategically placed greens. The Gaudaiza ‘C’ Course is the longest nine, with doglegged holes and interesting elevation changes.
