The course has an interesting mix of memorable holes like the stunning 200-yard 12th Hole Par 3, flanked entirely by an extensive beach bunker around a contoured green. The Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin is opened in October 2008, built among a pineapple plantation. Immediately, upon opening, the course was awarded 2009 Best New Course in Asia Pacific by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly. Since then Banyan golf course and clubhouse has steadily claimed ‘Top 3 in Thailand’ awards and been highlighted in the ‘Rolex Top 1000’ in the World.
The world class 18-hole championship golf course was designed by professional golf course architect Pirapon Namatra from Golf East and the course is recognized as one of the best layouts in the country.
The course is neatly integrated with an amazing mountain and oceanic views from most of the holes and has one of the best layouts in Thailand. Each hole has 6 tee boxes making the course suitable for golfers across different levels. Water hazards, waste bunkers and sand traps are strategically placed and spread out throughout the course. Significant use of native pineapple groves make local fruits come into play if straying too far off the fairways.
The signature 15th hole is a 139 yards par-3 with panoramic ocean views all the way to Singtoh (Tiger) Island in the Gulf of Thailand. Hole 12, a par-5 monster is 610 yards, all uphill, making it a difficult to reach the green even for the experienced golfers. The other holes feature elevated greens, sloping fairways and well positioned fairway and greenside bunker complexes.
The club is equipped with good practice facilities which include a grass driving range and 2 large putting and chipping greens. The golf club has a modern and first class Thai styled club house including, full reception area, well-stocked pro shop, elegant locker rooms, and 2 international restaurants. The changing rooms are fitted with rain showers and luxury grooming amenities. The Terrace Restaurant is an International all day dining venue with a variety of Western and Thai cuisine and several excellent daily specials. It also features a walk in wine cooler with good selection of wines to suit all palettes. Mulligan’s Pub, with western views over the golf course and Burmese Mountains, makes for an ideal way to have a few cold drinks, reflect on a round and take in a picture perfect Thai sunset.

Burapha Golf Club has hosted several professional tournaments including the 2010 Thailand Open. The 36-holes at Burapha have been created to fully utilize the beauty of the land and its natural features- lakes, hills, palms trees and tropical vegetation, all skillfully landscaped. Designed by Americans Gary Panks and David Graham; Burapha Golf Club is laid out on hilly terrain. The East (A-B) Course features wide fairways and is perfect for the up & coming golfer. The West (C-D) Course is a challenge for more advanced and professional golfers. The golf courses are both well maintained, fairways and greens generally kept in tip top condition, and the holes are well placed. With lush, verdant Thai countryside and jungle-clad hills all around, Burapha is home to 36-holes of links and parkland style golf. The American (A) and British (B) nines are parkland in style. While the Crystal (C) and Dunes (D) nines are more open links style layouts.
The elevated tee-boxes give an excellent view onto the holes laid out below. Around the greens clinging semi-rough joins forces with good-quality bunkering to put a premium on hitting the assorted-sized greens. The four Burapha courses provide a picturesque and testing golfing outing in a pleasant, lightly tree-lined setting. The four nines at Burapha give the opportunity to look across the valley to the impressive clubhouse of Laem Chabang Golf Club, but on the Dunes nine the views gets more amazing than that. The golfer will be rewarded with an extraordinary panorama across the surrounding countryside. The Pattaya high rise condominiums, the Laem Chabang port, the ocean and large offshore islands are all in clear view. This open, undulating Dunes course is more challenging than its front-nine companion, the Crystal course. With a mix of lightly tree-lined and water protected holes, the Crystal nine provides a gentle lead-in to the more challenging and spectacularly scenic Dunes course. Pattaya golf travelers can enjoy their golf in a very tranquil and soft setting. The Burapha clubhouse serves good reasonably priced local and international food in the golfers’ restaurant.

With its many accolades and awards including “Best Value For Money Golf Course in Asia” and the “Number One Course in Thailand” since opening in 2005, Chiang Mai Highlands is a must play that offers no excuses for the distraction of breathtaking views on each hole. The course itself offers a choice of 5 different tee boxes, presenting a challenge for a player of any level that culminates in a thrilling dramatic finish at the unforgettable 18th. Negotiating the deep and severely penalising hundred or so fairway and greenside bunkers as well as various water hazards requires thought, yet the firm, fast undulating greens are more than receptive to a well struck approach. Mostly sloping away from the fairway, green complexes feature closely mown areas that offer up a variety of short game options to pitch, chip or even putt from off the green, the only limit being the golfer’s imagination. With excellent amenities, Chiang Mai Highlands Golf and Spa Resort bills itself as not only a golf destination, but a place of happiness for the entire family.

The Khao Kheow 27-hole golf course is located in the heart of the Pattaya golf corridor on the way to Bangkok and the Suvanabhumi International Airport. Like so many of the Eastern Seaboard’s courses the Khao Kheow Country Club is set in a valley between 2 hills and strong sea breezes are prevalent most afternoons. The course plays quite long and the elevation changes between holes is a welcome differentiating point compared to the other flatter courses in the surrounding area.
The Khao Kheow Country Club has a 27-hole golf course, being located in the heart of Pattaya golf corridor on the way to Bangkok and the Suvanabhumi International Airport. Like many eastern seaboards’ courses, the Khao Kheow Country Club is built in a valley between 2 hills and strong sea breezes are prevalent most afternoons. The distance for the course is quite long and there are steep elevation changes between holes. This is a unique differentiating factor when compared to many other flatter courses in the area.
In this course, each shot needs to be carefully calibrated to overcome not only the windy conditions but also account for the numerous large ponds, bunkers and hills that surround the well-manicured fairways. The green is carefully and frequently maintained to ensure that there are good putting conditions all year round. All these helps Khao Kheow Country Club stand out from the other Pattaya golf courses. The course is suitable for everyone. An example is the signature par-three seventeen which plays to an island green will make both amateurs and professionals feel like they are playing in TPCC Sawgrass.
Overall Khao Kheow is one of the best courses in Pattaya, therefore making it a good choice for inclusion in any Pattaya golf package. Carts are optional, which also helps to keep costs low and affords all golfers a choice of walking or riding.

Laem Chabang International Country Club is a scenic Jack Nicklaus designed championship course. It has the best layout in Pattaya and truly one of Thailand’s finest. Laem Chabang is made up of 27 holes on 700 acres and makes use of 3 types of features which characterize each of the 9 holes. This handiwork is widely hailed by critics for the optimum usage of the land’s mixed terrain of mountains, lakes and river valleys which are lovely as well as functional. Different types of terrain integrate finely to the 9-hole course in a unique way and as such each course is named Mountain, Lake and Valley.
The rolling hills of the surrounding countryside have been optimally utilized. There is an abundance of hazards to stop you from reaching the green. These include bunkers, sand traps, water hazards and even natural hazards in the shape of exposed rock formations, lakes, ponds and creeks. Cleverly shaped holes skirt water hazards and tall coconut trees. Every tee is signed with a board describing a distinctive tree or shrub planted nearby to give the course a unique floral emphasis. The large, undulating greens are mostly raised and protected by wide bunkers.
These unique conditions provide any golfer a challenging golf game in a wide range of terrains. Carefully and timely maintained, this golf course neatly integrates the man-made features and rich planting of flowers and shrubs, with the natural splendor of the surroundings hills, rocky outcrops and jungle vegetation. With the numerous scenic views from the course, it all fuses harmoniously into a great golfing experience and one that is uniquely Asian. Excellent clubhouse facilities and accommodation superbly complement all of this. This top course is a must play for anyone in the Pattaya area and should be included in all Pattaya golf holiday!

The Lake View Resort & Golf Club offers 36 holes of golf in Hua Hin. The golf course is warmly received by both residents and visitors to the area and is situated inland, surrounded by small farms and fruit orchids on a large parkland parcel. For many golfers, this is the most beautiful and smoothing golf course in Hua Lin.
The Lake View 18-hole A-B course features small streams and a large lake segregating the course in two segments. This, together with mature trees, blind shots to some greens, undulating fairways and several doglegs, test the skills of experienced and seasoned golfers. One of the toughest holes, the long par 3, 14th hole features a tee box on a small island and the green on another island, 210 yards away, entirely surrounded by water. There are quite a number of easy holes, making the course manageable for golfers with higher handicap.
The desert course (course C) is specially created such that each hole is different and each shot must be carefully planned. Combining these nine holes with those from the main course provides an extremely rewarding round of golf. The Lake View links course (course D) opened in late 2006, add a further nine holes to the three 9-hole golf courses. The course stretches over a relatively open area with some trees between the holes.
The clubhouse at Lake View Resort & Golf Club is simple and provides a smoothing atmosphere coupled with fine cuisine. The changing facilities are spacious, a grass driving range and short game practice areas are available for all golfers. The clubhouse also features a pool with golf course view and spa.

Loch Palm Golf Club is constructed around the Crystal Lake, the sparkling feature of the course and the largest water body on any Phuket golf course you have ever encountered. Loch Palm Golf Club has gentle slopes and also steep altitude changes. The course brings you across and around ravines and plateaus posing you a challenge never seen before. The first nine holes are located amid lakes and palm trees. The next nine moves you through mountains, hitting uphill and downhill with woods, irons and even your putter!
The first nine holes roam along the prime feature of this course, the Crystal Lake before taking you up into the forested hills for the last nine holes. Coupled with thousands of palm trees lining the fairways and a cool breeze washing over you from the Crystal Lake, the atmosphere is unbeatable-offering tranquility and serenity. On top of that, there are many hazards and challenging greens. Fairway landing areas are wide but the tightly routed layout requires you to adopt a strong sense of direction and control of your swing because a slight deviation from the required direction will be heavily penalized by the well placed bunkers.
Being awarded the title of the most relaxing golf course in Phuket and coupled with its convenient location, Loch Palm Golf Club is undoubtedly equipped with the finest course to start your golfing tour in the island of Phuket. Loch Palm Golf Club is definitely one of the best Golf Clubs in Thailand because of its fine layout, and carefully maintained course. The fairways have really well cut green grass. The course can be challenging, but still manageable for advanced beginners. They have a nice restaurant but most players prefer to stay outside on the terrace after their round of golf, and take a Singha Draft beer!

Majestic Creek Country Club is a difficult course that was rated by German magazine as Hua Hin’s best golf course. This view is being shared among many Hua Hin locals and expatriates. The country club is designed by Dr. Sukkitti Klangvisai, a professional Thai golf course designer who is also responsible for Phuket’s Loch Palm. Majestic Creek is perhaps the best laid out golf course in Hua Hin.
Majestic Creek Country Club is being built in the foothills 20 kilometers west of Hua Hun. The journey towards the course provides rural views of Thai life including sugar cane, tapioca, pineapple plantations and farms. The club has an all-round natural vista. Valleys in the nearby mountains supply water to the maze of streams winding around the course. Natural hazards are being carefully preserved to create tricky shots over the water.
The 7,123 yard layout provides a range of well-designed challenges all golfers. Seasoned golfers will look forward to the tough tee shots as many of which demands long water carries over lakes. Most of the holes have water hazards and excellent bunkering. To achieve a good score, precise shots and good nerves are needed.
Noteworthy holes include the final hole from course B; a long 588 yard par-5 that demands a long and accurate drive to find the ideal fairway position. After which, a stream and lake must be crossed before landing on the green. The C course should not be underestimated as well. It has an amazing layout, nudging the mountains backing onto the Pranburi Dam. The last noteworthy hole is the Course B par-4 6th. After the drive off from the tee, the fairway is gently sloped from the left to right giving you great ball position. After the corner, enjoy one of the most beautiful looking shots at Majestic Creek. Finding the correct level on a 3 tiered green provides a chance for a birdie.Inaccurate approach shots will be swept into bunkers both right and left.

Palm Hills Golf Club is situated between Hua Hin and Cha Am, near the airport and on the lower foot hills above town. It was the first international standard Hua Hin golf course opened in 1992. The following year Palm Hills hosted the Inaugural Thailand World Pro Am tournament.
The golf course is laid out on a long strip of rolling terrain which gives the course a Scottish feel, differentiating itself from many courses in the area. The Max Wexler layout goes from east to west, with lakes at each end separated by the clubhouse and an interesting rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range.
The Palm Hills course is lined with palm trees and has plenty of hillside, hence the name Palm hills. Numerous brightly colored frangipani trees and bougainvillea shrubs add to the natural beauty. The last nine holes are situated on top of the mountains and provide majestic views of the Gulf of Thailand and Hua Hin. Palm Hills is one of the easier Hua Hin golf courses. The Bermuda fairways are wide making the course popular for a range of golfers with different abilities and experience. However, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards ensure that it is still difficult to achieve a good score. On top of that, the greens can be the steepest in the Hua Hin.
The 10th to 14th holes are the best holes on the golf course which demands a well-placed shot. The signature hole is the 11th hole, a long par three uphill into the sea breeze and demands at least a long drive. The 14th 338 yard par four is one of the most interesting holes on Palm Hills. It has a dog-leg left with water guarding the inside and some of the fairway. Selecting the right club for tee off is extremely crucial. Try negotiating the drive well so that the hole will be an easy par or birdie.
Pan Hills Golf Club is a professionally well maintained course in Hua Hin. The course is a great getaway from a city lifestyle. It has a stunning landscape and at certain times of the year, the course is covered in exotic fragrance from the frangipani trees.

The tricky layout of bunkers and water hazards, elevated greens and undulating fairways make this a very strategic course. Every stage in the course offers different challenging games. Phoenix Gold Golf Course comprises three nines – Ocean, Lake and Mountain, and has superb views of the surrounding mountains and the Gulf of Thailand. Large mango, eucalyptus trees and flowering shrubs add color and give a natural feel to the layout.
Gently contoured fairways, shallow bunkers and sloping greens characterize this palm tree lined parkland course. Tee-boxes are defined by planted hedges.
The name Ocean Course may seem like a contradiction as you may be wondering why there is no water on any of the nine holes. However, wait until the finishing hole on the Ocean Course. The tee box for this par-5 sits at the highest point on the course and affords a commanding view of the Gulf of Thailand and Pattaya skyline. The tee shot is straight down a sloping fairway followed by a 2nd shot aimed toward the Gulf of Thailand. Large sand bunkers lining along both sides of the fairway come into play on the 3rd shot into the green. The bunker in the front left of the green should be avoided for it is difficult to get up and down for par from there. The center of the green is preferred for an easy par, or even birdie!
In terms of the beauty of the course, the top honors go to arguably the best nine, the Mountain Course. A very attractive collection of folding, jungle-clad hills is always in view. The rocky frontage of one mountain is decorated with a massive, laser-carved image of Buddha, the golden lines of the image standing out against the grey of the rock face. It is quite a sight, especially when illuminated by the sun’s rays.
A spacious clubhouse dominates the landscape with a huge center reception and pro shop. The locker rooms and other facilities are more than adequate and the restaurant serving both Thai and European food is superb and well-priced.
Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club’s easy access from Pattaya plus decent playing conditions makes this course worth including in most Pattaya golf packages.

Located just 15 mins away from Patong Beach, Phuket Country Club is the oldest golf course in Phuket, established in 1989. The Old Course was the first championship standard 18-hole golf course built on Phuket Island. Set amidst a valley in Kathu, the fairways meander through hills and limestone cliffs, traversing 3 distinct environments, with six holes in undulating hills, six holes on the level and six holes through landscape forest. The signature par five 10th hole is probably the most memorable hole, which angles its way round a large lake with the chance of a hole in one! Red Mountain Golf Club won the ‘Platinum Golf Course of the Year’ award at the 2011 Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) in Singapore. Meandering its way through a truly dramatic 1400 rai (1 rai=1600sqm) former tin mine site in the heart of Phuket, Red Mountain Golf Club is certainly one of Asia’s most exciting new courses. The course has been ingeniously designed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes.
Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a challenging 6,900 yard lay out to complement the shorter and gentler old Loch Palm Course. While the course is unquestionably difficult, the risk and rewards create a fun golfing experience, an adrenaline-charged test of skills and strength and an incredible picturesque tour around a course fated to be a golfing landmark in the region.
There are long par 4s stretching up to 470 yards designed for the long hitters, drivable par 4’s with the chance of a birdie and the signature 9th hole is a dramatic par 3 with a 50m drop from tee to green. Every hole poses a new challenge with a range of method to choose from to overcome them. It rewards those with a strategic approach and the skill to land a well-placed shot. On top of that, an exciting range of green presents itself with the newest, shade tolerant Bermuda Hybrid grass.
There are natural bunkers, towering cliffs, deep ravines and flooded gullies, all flawlessly integrated and poses a challenge even to the most experienced players. As you weave your way through the elevation, you will be rewarded with wide views over Phuket before heading back down another gully lined with tropical forest. In fact, the elevation changes so significantly on this layout that golf carts are a compulsory addition. Every aspect of Red Mountain Golf Club ensures her players are mesmerized by the exhilarating variety of play and the spectacular natural setting.
The Red Mountain Golf Club course is a standard par 72 covering just under 7,000 yards in total from the pro tees, making it a challenging but fun course for players across different levels. Extra measures have been implemented to ensure that the fairways are in tip top condition even after an unpredicted downpour of rainy season. Unbeatable off-course facilities coupled together with top-class golf, Red Mountain Golf Course unmistakably one of the best courses in Phuket.

Opened in January 2017, Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf club located in Ayutthaya Province. Fairways and rough are grassed with Paspalum turf. Highly paced green using Champion Dwarf grass enhance another level of difficulty, including tougher reading from uneven surface. The best hole on the course is the signature par four hole #16, a dogleg right that plays 276 yards from the white tee. There is a lateral water hazard along the right side of the fairway to the green. The modern clubhouse is designed in an elliptical shape where no two walls are parallel. The large rock waterfall spans the entire rear of the clubhouse, with water raging down from the second level to the golf courses.

Royal Hua Hin Golf Course is unmistakably the oldest 18-hole international standard golf course in Thailand and is only 5 minutes from downtown Hua Hin. The course was commissioned in 1924 to accommodate the interests of the British railway workers and Thai aristocracy living in the area.
The course is built on natural terrain and set between some breathtaking rocky hills. Spectacular views of the Gulf of Thailand and the city center are possible from several holes. A major renovation in the 1980’s brought this course up to international standards, despite its age. Mature tree lined fairways are now abundant.
Your skills will definitely be tested here, with many tight tree-lined fairways, many nicely doglegging holes and relatively small circular greens to hit, greens are mostly elevated. The bunkering is quite modest and the course condition might not be as manicured as some in the Hua Hin Region, but Royal Hua Hin has some very pleasing features in its treasure chest.
At par-3 14th, the signature hole, and the par-5 3rd, you have the opportunity to see temples clinging to the sides of tree-clad hills. While one side of the course is played under a scenic tree-clad rocky hill, the other side will provide occasional glimpses of the ocean from the two elevated sections of the course.
A remodeled club house creates a nice 19th hole to reflect on the golfers who have passed through the doors during the past century that Royal Hua Hin Golf Course has been around. Royal Hua Hin is a course that should be played at least once by every golf traveler to Hua Hin.

Santiburi Country Club Chiang Rai is an 18-hole par 72 championship course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Junior. It was Chiang Rai’s first golf course, opened in 1992. Set amidst the Chiang Rai hills, the course winds beneath a canopy of shade trees, across crystal clear lakes and streams, featuring exciting holes with undulating fairways, rolling fast greens, countless sand and grass bunkers, and huge water hazards. The signature hole on this course is the hole 17th which plays at 125 yards, this short par 3 has water all the way down the right side. A double doglegged par five 18th finishing hole is also particularly impressive. Sea Pines Golf Course (also known as Army Golf Club II) is constructed along the gulf of Thailand in the Suan Son Pradiphat (Sea Pine Tree Garden).
Most area within the Sea Pines are comprised of bracken pine trees and enriched by the beauty of oceans and mountains. The army originally developed the site as a form of retreat for serving soldiers and veterans and their families.
The Sea Pines Golf Course’s course design and layout have been developed to give golfers a wide range of challenge. Depending on wind conditions, the course difficulty will vary. The course is created with six holes lying on the beachside.
The dogleg, par-5 12th hole is one of the toughest, as the design affords it protection in the form of fairway bunkers and water hazard along the right-hand side. Moreover, a small bunker located in the middle of the fairway creates a dilemma – go for a driver from the tee, or ‘play it safe’ by opting for a ‘lay-up’ approach?
Along the stretch at Sea Pines, the sea breeze comes in play and the three final holes are among the best in Hua Hin golf. The 16th is a dogleg par-5 which demands a drive to a narrow fairway down the hill to avoid water hazards on both sides. Looking down at the hole for their second shot will give golfers an amazing view of the ocean and mountains. The most challenging part of the hole is the approach shot. One has to choose between slicing over the water/bunker onto the sloping green or take a safe route to the left side of the fairway.
The signature 17th is a par-3 which consists of a spectacular ocean view on the background. The tee shot is all carry over water and is comprised of wide undulating green that is well surrounded by beach bunker. Shots which are slightly longer or shorter will find themselves landing on the sand. The 17th may also be tougher depending on the wind and pin placement as this hole is played over a large lake onto peninsula green.

Siam Country Club Old Course is one of the more famous Thailand golf courses, being built more than 35 years ago it was the first privately owned golf course in the country. Over the years the golf course has hosted several international golf tournaments including the annual Honda LPGA Classic from 2010 onwards. The course is impeccably maintained and kept in first-rate playing condition all year round.
The Siam Country Club Old Course is located in the low hills, a few kilometers from Pattaya and contains bountiful mature trees, shrubs and plants. Many fruit trees on the course give the impression or atmosphere of being in an orchard. The abundance of wildlife in the form of bushes and hedges are unique features to Siam Country Club. The course layout is such that many golf holes are played past a series of lakes and carefully placed creeks. Powerful and straight driving is needed to negotiate the often narrow fairways. The large trees at Siam Country Club often get in the way and will punish errant tee shots. The greens at Siam Country Club Old Course are mostly large, roll fast, and are well maintained.
Filled with numerous bunkers and water hazards, the course boasts several challenging holes, particularly the last four holes. The 15th through 18th holes taken together could be the best finishing holes of any Pattaya golf course. If you’re having a good day and scoring well, take care as these 4 holes could easily bring you back to earth and ruin a good score. Siam Country Club, Old Course is one of the best courses in Pattaya. Together with the Plantation, Waterside, and Laem Chabang courses the 4 take top honors.

The Siam Country Club Plantation Couse is undoubtedly an extraordinary golf course. It has held internationally acclaimed tours such as the 2009 US LGPA and 2015 Thailand Open. Nothing was spared by designer Lee Schmidt.
The 27-hole layout consisting of the Sugarcane, Tapioca and Pineapple course, is routed through rolling terrain with distant panoramic views of Pattaya Beach, Laem Chabang, and the Gulf of Thailand. Formerly a tapioca and pineapple plantation, the property’s environmental and natural characteristics include rough ravines intersecting its Paspalum fairways and mature trees increased by landscape ground cover and plantings. The Plantation Course also features steep elevation changes that result in numerous breathtaking sea views of Gulf of Thailand.
The course has many difficult holes. Long carries, blind shots, elevated greens, undulating fairways and greens, giant high-lipped bunkers, and shaved fringes on every hole are in play to challenge even the professional golfer. Two nines, the 3,759-yard par-36 Tapioca and the 3,645-yard par-36 Pineapple, feature Asia’s first triple green. The Tapioca’s seventh and the Pineapple’s fourth and ninth holes play to a single green measuring more than 20,000 square feet (1,916 square meters) which serves as a unique focal point on this Pattaya golf course. The green’s undulating putting surface is attached and is divided into three distinct sections by large swales. Number seven on the Tapioca is a par-3 of 178 yards, while numbers four and nine on the Pineapple are lengthy par-4s of 490 and 469 yards, respectively. The Sugar Cane Course is the Siam Country Club Plantation Course’s third nine which plays out to the left of the driving range and staging area. The par-36, 3,736-yard layout is arguably the best of the 3 nines and includes the spectacular fifth. A par-5 with over 28 bunkers the Plantation Course’s signature hole plays long uphill with a split fairway. The right side fairway makes a very difficult and long carry to have any change to reach the green. The alternative, hitting to the left fairway and take advantage of the simpler approach shot and stand a chance to get a par.

Siam Motors Group launches a mega golf course center in Thailand, Siam Country Club Waterside. Golfers will experience creation of design in harmony with nature. With many water-feature holes, Signature Hole will be a memorable one. Course design will be strategic with locations of lakes and creeks in play. The back tee will challenge the best. At the same time, the regular tee will offer enjoyment for all golfers.
Much emphasis have been given to challenge golfers and, most important, happiness at the end of the day. The main highlight of the Waterside will include the clubhouse with 180 degrees view of the beauty of the course, lakes, creeks and landscape blending with natural surroundings. Siam Country Club Waterside Course is the third layout from Siam Motors Group in Pattaya. The Waterside Course, designed by IMG, features gently slanted terrain, making it very different from the hillier Siam Country Club Old and Plantation Courses. Over a span of 200 acres the golfer friendly course is of the same championship quality and 5-star experience as its other two big brothers next door. Course design is planned with several lakes and creeks in play. At over 7400 yards the back tees will challenge the experienced golfers. At the same time, other tees down to 5000 yards are available and offer enjoyment for golfers across different levels.
Fairways are grassed with the latest variety of Paspalum grass while greens are a variety of Bermuda grass. Many holes are surrounded by water while the greens are flushed with the fairways making most holes very friendly. Hole-17th, a long 600 yards par-5 that gives long hitters the option to cut across a dogleg left over water to reach the green in two or shorter hitters a layup, but still challenging shot over a deep ravine to make the green in regulation.
The final hole is a great finishing hole playing around the large manmade lake in front of the club house. The 420 yards par-4 is a monster for any golfer, especially playing into the prevailing winds. Many rounds will be settled here with the rare birdy possible, but many more bogies or worse more likely.

Each hole has a minimum of five tees to play from, but only the bold and the experienced will embark on the black tee. Water hazards are quite frequent and each hole presents its own unique challenge and character requiring finesse or unrestraint. Being able to hit an accurate shot is required to score well as the rough is comprised of a series of hillocks and holes lined by a forest of mature trees. Jack Nicklaus designs love to catch player out who hits a poor weak fade and the back nine when lethargy kicks into your game. It can be punishing with either a huge waste bunkers or water on your right hand side and close to the fairway.
Starting with a par-4, the first hole is a gentle 389 yards from blue tees and the hole looks quite simple. However, the well protected green proves to be difficult and requires high accuracy. As you end off your round, the par-5 18th and Springfield’s signature hole, demands one final perfect shot to a difficult island green. If you manage to hit a good drive over the tress of the dogleg left, then the green will be in sight for the second shot.
Springfield Royal offers other unbeatable facilities on top of the splendid course. The club house was built in an elevated position that will give you a lasting impression. The interior is neatly finished with polished marble & granite, and portrays lavishness; changing rooms are superb and even features a bar inside the locker rooms.

English born golf course architect Desmond Muirhead has created one of Pattaya’s most interesting golf courses by working with a remarkable and undulating natural topography. The golf course offers an uncompromising challenge aimed at players with handicaps of 18 or lower. Playing at over 7700 yards to a par 74, this is a tough course. St Andrews features elevated tees and greens, tight landing zones, split elevation fairways, huge putting surfaces and while difficult to accept for the true golfer, two par 6’s, over 800 yards each! The back nine in particular has large elevation changes and views of the surrounding hillsides.
The course is targeted for accomplished players; it is the most challenging course in Pattaya and should be played by all golf tourists. The course is an extremely tough test of golf from any tee and the two par-6 holes are a bit much for the golf course purist. The additional long fairway shot that must be played demands a completely different dimension in concentration and course management.
The course requires power, accuracy and strategic positioning of each shot due to the high number of hazards. Even one errant shot can be very costly. This Pattaya golf course requires the use of every club and also will be the subject of lots of stories about a challenging round of golf. Bring lots of golf balls, and expect to otherwise be beaten up by this course.
St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club is under the same management, sharing the same facilities as the Rayong Green Valley and Silky Oak courses. The club house and onsite golf resort overlook the course, while the former makes for a good 19th hole to reflect on your round. For those looking for a best of Pattaya golf package, St. Andrews must be one of the included stops.

One of Chiangmai’s best kept courses, Summit Green Valley Chiangmai Country Club is a palm tree lined picturesque course set against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains and is difficult to par, especially from the tips at 7200 yards. The fairways seem wide, but the abundance of well-placed sand bunkers and lots of water at the landing areas come into play on nearly every hole. Narrow fairways then give way to large receptive greens that run from moderate to slightly fast. The most memorable hole is the 416 yards, par 4, 9th. Tee shots must carry over water to a landing area lined with sand traps on both sides. The 2nd shot is again over water to an elevated island green encircled by large palm trees. Course length, numerous elevation changes and prevailing winds makes Summit Green Valley a tough but fair challenge to golfers of all skill levels. With its proximity to Chiangmai and availability of night golf, Summit Green Valley Chiangmai Country Club is a popular choice for the golfer looking to play on the day of arrival or departure.

Opened in 1996 and designed by five-time British Open champion Peter Thomson, Royal Chiang Mai is one of the shorter courses at just 6969 yards. What it lacks in length though, it more than makes up for in features borrowed from British Parkland courses, something well suited to what was formerly the site of a fruit orchard. With its many flora and fauna, the very scenic Royal Chiang Mai is heavily lined with mature trees and the rough is best kept away from, as are the lakes, streams and waterfalls that are in play on almost every hole. Links style inspired fairways are bumpy and gently rolling, with the golfer encountering more than the occasional pot bunker enroute to the deceptively short elevated greens surrounded by closely mown areas and more high-lipped sand traps. As can be expected, this is a course that rewards the accurate golfer more than the long hitter, yet still presents a pleasurable challenge to both beginners and the more avid player.

The Royal Golf and Country Club is located near to the airport, surrounded by colorful flowers and shading trees. The layout features undulating fairways and tiered greens on nearly every hole. Its playing condition is in top shape and was recently praised by the Golf Association of Japan as one of the best managed golf courses in Thailand. Long par 3s on the course are some of the most challenging in Bangkok, especially the 235-yard hole #17, which is one of the most difficult to play on. The tricky par four hole #16, dubbed the “Mickey Mouse hole” because its sand bunker resembles the famous Disney character, with two imposing ears sticking out.

This 18-hole golf course is located in a deep valley, in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Khao Yai National Park, surrounded by lake and mountain views blended with Tuscan architecture, and fresh air of nature. The ambience resembles the environment of the picturesque Tuscany in Italy, with a scenic Khao Yai as the backdrop. As a PGA standard course, Toscana Valley Country Club is not easy to play and requires a lot of thinking, especially regarding the placement of shots. Raised greens, deep bunkers and razor-sharp fairway drops-offs feature on every hole.
