Day 2: Kuching (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Cultural and Nature Tour
Visit to Sarawak Cultural Villagepopularly known as the ‘Living Museum’ and showcase of a kaleidoscope of Sarawak’s cultures and traditions. Here you will explore the 7 authentic replicas of ethnic houses, Chinese Farm house, Malay's Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Penan Hut as well as Longhouses of the Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Each house made by the individual dwellers, demonstration of arts and crafts like beadwork, wood and bamboo carvings; "Pua" and straw weaving can be seen while touring the village. Enjoy the Traditional Dances of the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the village theatre. After Lunch, continue to Semenggoh Nature Reserve catch a glimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time and spot their delicate nests watch their skillful movements at the treetops during feeding time. The guide will narrate to you the behavior, emotion and characteristics of this special primate called Orang Utan, meaning ‘Man of the Forest’. Afterwards visit to Sarawak Pottery Factory for you to get a typical Sarawak ceramic and native handicraft and get some souvenir such as woodcarvings, “Pua Kumbu” with native design, Pepper products to bring back as a souvenir for friends, family and you will be visit to Sarawak Bird’s Nest Factory (Sinpio) and local product centre bring back some famous souvenir.
Day 3: Kuching (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Bako National Park Tour
This morning proceed to visit Bako National Park established since 1957, the oldest and most popular national parks in Sarawak, the excursion takes about one and a half-hour by land and boat, with an area about 2,728 hectares it offers the perfect introduction to Sarawak’s forest and wildlife. Here you can see the wildlife such as long-tailed macaques, squirrels, white bearded pigs, silver leaf monkeys and 17 trails provided; ranging from 0.2 km to 5.75 km, and you can experience in each different trail, and will be brought along the Teluk Paku trail. Spot the proboscis monkey, species, which only can be found in Borneo Island and you will also be able to view 7 different types of vegetation and forests from almost desert-like scrub or ‘padang’ to lowland dipterocarp forest. Trail continue to Teluk Pandan Kecil, you will see a lot of the carnivorous plants, pitcher plants, and the most famous rock formation at the end of the same trail.
Day 4: Kuching (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Borneo Highlands Tour
Take an-hour drive to Borneo Highlands, the height of 1,000 meters above sea level on the Sarawak-Kalimatan border and is nestled amongst the oldest and second largest tropical rainforest in the world. There are many attractions and recreational activities available at the resort based on concept “Back to Nature, Back to Basics”, there you can have a bird eye view of Kalimantan Border Lookout Point.
