Start your day with a tour toFurano Ice Cream Factory, where you can enjoy an ice cream making experience. Make a stop at Farm Tomita, renowned for its vast lavender fields, to see the beautiful seasonal flowers that are neatly arranged in rows of colors. After lunch, continue tour to Biei. Step into the panoramic flower gardens of Shikisai-no-oka and marvel at the spectacular views across fifteen hectares of colorful flowers that bloom over the hills from April to October. Next, witness the beauty of Shirogane Blue Pond (Aoi-ike), well-known for its deep blue color which owes to the natural minerals dissolved in the water. The dead Japanese larch trees that stand amidst the water of the pond create a mysterious atmosphere. Thereafter, proceed to Asahikawa, the second largest city in Hokkaido.
Day 3: Asahikawa - Otaru (Breakfast)
This morning visit Otokoyama Sake Brewing Museum to learn more about the production process of one of Japan’s finest sakes and get the opportunity to sample different types of sake. Next, visit Asahiyama Zoo, primarily specializing in cold climate species, it is the most famous zoo in Japan which houses the largest number of polar bears and penguins in the world. Dive into noodle paradise at Asahikawa Ramen Village, where eight of Asahikawa’s most well-known ramen shops gather in one place (at own expenses), before departing for Otaru. Day 4: Otaru - Niseko - Lake Toya - Noboribetsu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Begin the day with a visit to Otaru Canal, where charming century-old stone warehouses line both sides of the canal. Stroll to Sakaimachi Street to visit Otaru Music Box Museum, Kitachi Glass Shop and LeTao Confectionery. Thereafter, travel to Niseko. After lunch, visit the ever-popular Niseko Milk Kobo, dairy products are made with fresh milk produced straight from next door ranch. Continue to the cheese lover paradise, Niseko Cheese Factory makes more than 15 different types of cheese each day, using dairy from local farms and spring water from Mount Yotei. Make a photo stop of Lake Toya at Cylo viewpoint before heading to Noboribetsu. Tonight, indulge in a rejuvenating sulphuric hot spring bath at an Onsen Resort.
Day 5: Noboribetsu - Chitose (Breakfast, Lunch)
Enjoy a morning tour to the famous Jigokudani(Hell Valley), the main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters and also an iconic hot spring in Hokkaido. The surrounding air is filled with a strong smell of sulphur and the place is thought to resemble a scene of hell. Visit Enmado Temple, Noboribetsu's animated statue of King Enma. At certain times, his eyes light up as he performs his angry ”hell sentencing” animation. Step into Noboribetsu Date Jidai Village, a theme park that takes you back to the Edo period. Walk along the ancient road lined with Edo-style merchant shops, majestic samurai houses and ninja houses. Go back in time to enjoy action-packed ninja show, watch oiran performance, engage in traditional games and activities, learn and experience Japanese history on site.
Day 6: Departure from Chitose (Breakfast)

Start your day with a tour to Ikeda Town. Visit Ikeda Wine Castle, a wine factory which developed and manufactured delicious Tokachi wine. You will witness the different process of winemaking and get the opportunity to sample the wine. Thereafter, proceed to Akan Mashu National Park, best-known for its three beautiful caldera lakes. Visit Lake Mashu, known to have the clearest waters in the world, offers a mysterious scenery, surrounded by beautiful cliffs. Followed by Lake Kussharo, which is the largest lake in the park. End your day at an Onsen Resort in Lake Akan.
Day 3: Akan Mashu National Park - Abashiri - Shiretoko (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning set off to Abashiri. Visit Abashiri Prison Museum, constructed in the 1890s to hold more than one thousand dangerous criminals.The Abashiri Prison Museum illustrates the daily life of prisoners and exhibits more than a dozen buildings and structures of the old prison. Continue tour to Mount Tento to enjoy a 360-degree view of the Okhotsk Sea. Visit Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum, where you can experience the real drift ice in the -15°C cooling room and meet mysterious sea creatures that live among the ice. Thereafter, head off to Shiretoko. Discover the beauty of nature as you explore Shiretoko Goko Lakes, famous for its five beautiful lakes, untouched forests and the Shiretoko mountain range. It was designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 2005.
Day 4: Shiretoko - Kitami - Sounkyo (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today, embark on a journey to Kitami. Visit Kitakitsune Farm, also known as Hokkaido Fox Village, to get a closer look at the adorable Hokkaido foxes. After lunch, depart for Sounkyo. Soak in the beauty of the majestic waterfalls, resembling a Chinese painting; Ginga-no-taki (Milky Way Falls) and Ryusei-no-taki (Shooting Star Falls), located alongside each other in the Daisetsuzan National Park, surrounded by cliffs stretching for 25 kilometers along the Ishigari River. They were selected as one of the top 100 waterfalls in Japan. Thereafter, head to Kurodake Ropeway for a panoramic view over the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range and Sounkyo Gorge.
Day 5: Sounkyo - Sapporo (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Bid farewell to Sounkyo, sit back and relax on your drive to Sapporo. Step into Shiroi Koibito Park, which houses a fairytale-themed park and a chocolate confectionery, well-known for its Shiroi Koibito (White Lover) cookies. Visit Odori Park to view the Sapporo TV Tower and Sapporo Clock Towerwhich was built in 1878. Day 2: Akiu - Matsushima - Hiraizumi - Hanamaki (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, set off to Matsushima, known for the hundreds of forested islands that dot the beautiful Matsushima Bay. Go up into the observation tower, which is built to resemble an ancient castle, for a loftier view of the landscape and the islands in the bay. The 260 tiny islands (shima) covered in pines (matsu) are works of Mother Nature, eroded over time to firm compelling shapes and patterns. Each island has its own special name. Matsushima Bay is renowned as one of the three most scenic views of Japan. Talk a leisure walk to visit Zuiganji Temple, one of the Tohoku region’s most famous Zen temples, well-known for its beautifully painted sliding doors. Originally built in 828, the temple was later restored by the warlord Date Masamune who rebuilt it as his family temple. Many parts of the temple have been designated as National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties. Thereafter, proceed to Hiraizumi and visit its most famous attraction, Chuson-ji Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, founded in 850 as a temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism. It is home to the most spectacular Konjikido Golden Hall, completed in 1124 and is the only 12th century structure to survive in its original form at Chuson-ji Temple. This hall is dedicated to Amida Nyorai (the Buddha of Infinite Light) and is covered with gold leaf on both the interior and exterior, apart from the roof. It was the first structure designated a National Treasure of Japan. End your day and enjoy a relaxing hot spring bath at an Onsen Ryokan in the hot spring resort town of Hanamaki.
Day 3: Hanamaki – Aizuwakamatsu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today, embark on a journey to Aizuwakamatsu, the Samurai City. You will first visit Suehiro Sake Brewery, one of the largest and most famous sake producers in the Tohoku Region, founded in 1850. Here, you will learn about the sake brewing process (October to March), taste different kinds of sake and stock up on your souvenirs. Followed by Tsuruga Castle (the symbol of Aizu), also referred to as Wakamatsu Castle, was one of the country’s last samurai strongholds where Aizu clan samurai remained loyal to the shogun until their defeat at the hands of Meiji army during the Boshin War in 1868. The castle has been rebuilt several times since it was first constructed in 1384, while the garden’s magnificent old walls and moats remain in their original state. The color of the roof tiles was reverted from grey to red, which is very unique among Japanese castles. The inside of the building is an interesting museum with attractive displays about the history of the castle and the samurai lifestyle. Tonight, unwind your mind and body as you relax in the rejuvenating silky-smooth hot spring water at Higashiyama Onsen, a historical hot spring village in the retreat area of Aizuwakamatsu city,with 1,300 years of history. It is a therapeutic bath that was frequented by successive generations of feudal lords and samurai warriors of Aizu.
Day 4: Aizuwakamatsu - Shimogo - Koriyama (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start your day with a tour to Aizu Bukeyashiki, a historical site of reconstructed samurai residence of the Edo period. Step into the home of a highest ranked samurai and see what life was like for the former chief senior councillor of Aizu, Saigo Tanomo, during the Edo period in this reconstructed samurai mansion. The original complex was burned to the ground during the Boshin War. As you explore the 38 rooms that are open to public, you will see some rooms containing mannequins dressed in period costume portraying scenes of everyday life. Then, visit the Suzutake Lacquerware Studio, where you will try your hand at painting your own Aizu lacquerware, using Makie design techniques, which is perfect to take home as a souvenir. Aizu lacquerware is recognized as a Traditional Craftwork of Japan. Thereafter, proceed to Ouchi-juku, a former post town (rest stop or overnight stopping point) along the Aizu Nishi Kaido trade route, which connected Aizu with Nikko during the Edo period, to provide travellers with food, accommodations and rest. Feudal lords had to make regular trips to Edo city and would pass through Ouchi-juku along the way. Today, many of the buildings have been preserved as they were before in the Edo period, with beautiful traditional thatched-roof houses that line the main street. Ouchi-juku is also famous for delicious handmade soba noodles which you will be given a leek to use as cutlery instead of chopsticks and the local char fish roasted on sticks. Tonight, indulge in a rejuvenating hot spring bath at Bandai Atami Onsen, a famous hot spring village in Koriyama area, with hot spring water that has beautifying effects. The soft and gentle quality of the spring water makes your skin amazingly smooth. It also has healing effects on cuts, burns, muscle pain, chronic gastrointestinal disorders and improves health.

Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo - Fujikawaguchiko - Kawaguchi (Lunch, Dinner)
Arrive in Tokyo airport, welcome and assist by your friendly tour guide. Proceed to visit Saiko Iyashino-Sato Nenba (Saiko Healing Village), a reconstructed Japanese farming village located on the shore of Lake Saiko. It was once a dignified settlement with thatched houses of “Kabuto-zukuri” (roofing designed like a samurai warrior helmet), until it was destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966. More than twenty traditional Kabuto-zukuri-style Farmhouses have been restored and were converted into shops, restaurants, museums and galleries. Each shop specializes in a traditional craft such as pottery, incense or weaving. Take a look at Watanabe House which exhibits the daily life of the farmers who used to live in the region. There is a portrait studio where you can try on kimono or samurai armor for a small fee and take photos. From here, you can see the famous Mount Fuji. Next, visit the Oishi Park, which offers magnificent views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. Various flowers bloom seasonally on the promenade along the lakeside. Continue tour to Lake Kawaguchi, one of the five lakes near Mount Fuji. On a still clear day, you can see a perfect mirror image of Mount Fuji reflected in the lake. Thereafter, proceed to Kawaguchi.
Day 2: Kawaguchi - Mount Fuji - Gotemba - Hakone (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, set off to Mount Fuji (UNESCO), an active volcano which most recently erupted in 1707. Head up to Mount Fuji 5th Station and admire the panoramic views of the volcano and its surrounding (subject to weather conditions). Then, proceed to Lake Ashi, a pretty crater lake that lies along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago. Day 3: Hakone - Mishima - Numazu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start your day with a tour to explore Owakudani. Enjoy a Hakone Ropeway ride from Togendai to Owakudani, one of the most famous viewpoints in Hakone, where you can observe the intense volcanic activity from up close. Owakudani is a volcanic valley created by the last eruption of Mount Hakone around 3,000 years ago. Most of the area around Owakudani is considered an active volcanic zone where sulphurous fumes, hot springs and hot rivers can be seen. Because of this intense scenery, it used to be called “Jigokudani” (Hell Valley). Get a chance to taste the Kuro-tamago (black egg), which is said to prolong your life by seven years if you eat one. Owakudani also has splendid views of Mount Fuji in good weather. Next, proceed to Mishima Skywalk, a picturesque scenery spot where you can view the beauty of Suruga Bay and the majestic Mount Fuji from a gigantic suspension bridge. A total length of 400m, it is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. Overnight in Numazu.
Day 4: Numazu - Shuzenji (Izu Peninsula) - Atami (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
First stop today is the Numazu Fish Market. It is equipped with a passage for visitors, an observatory deck and restaurants. Enjoy the freshest seafood inside the market and bring back some souvenir products. Meet the adorable penguins, sea otters and walruses at Izu Mito Sea Paradise. The aquarium is full of attractions, including a giant tank filled with deep sea creatures that live in Suruga Bay, an entrancing illuminated jellyfish tank, a touch pool where visitors can come in contact with deep sea creatures. The top attraction of this aquarium is the amazing shows performed by dolphins and sea lions. Thereafter, proceed to Izu Peninsula. Visit the Shuzenji Temple, an ancient temple located on a hilltop founded by Kobo Daishi, one of Japan's leading Buddhist monks and the founder of Shingon Buddhism, about 1,200 years ago in 807. Tonight, indulge in a rejuvenating hot spring bath at an Onsen Resort in Atami. The high-temperature water with its high salt content has excellent insulation properties, helping with neuralgia, and excessive sensitivity to cold. The water also tightens up the skin and tones the body.
Day 5: Atami - Odawara - Kamakura - Tokyo (Breakfast, Lunch)
This morning, head to Odawara Castle, originally built in 1447, was rebuilt in 1960 based on diagrams and models from the Edo period. This three-tier five-storey castle is well-known for its park, the Odawara Castle Park, with cherry blossom trees, plum trees, wisteria, irises and azaleas filling its garden. There is a small children’s amusement park with a mini train and battery cars. You may also want to rent samurai clothes or kimono from the Honmaru Hiroba of the castle and wander the grounds. Then, travel to Kamakura. Visit the famous Great Buddha of Kamakura (Kamakura Daibutsu), an outdoor bronze statue of Amitabha Buddha, which stands on the grounds of Kotoku-in Temple. The Great Buddha, designated a National Treasure by the Japanese government, is 11.3 meters tall and weighs around 121 tons. It is the second tallest bronze Buddha statue in Japan. Day 2: Nagoya - Makinohara - Shizuoka City (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start your day with a tour to Nagoya Castle, Japan’s first castle to be designated a National Treasure. The castle was completed in 1615 by the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo period. However, it was burned down in the 1945 air raids during the bombing of Nagoya in World War II and was rebuilt in steel reinforced concrete in 1959. The two Kinshachi (Golden Tiger-Carp) that sit on top of the castle roof are a famous symbol of Nagoya city. They were employed in traditional Japanese architecture as a talisman to prevent fires. Next, visit the Atsuta Shrine (Atsuta Jingu), a Shinto shrine that was founded to house the sacred sword Kusanagi-no-tsurugi, one of the Three Sacred Imperial Treasures, about 1,900 years ago. Unfortunately, the sword has never been shown to the public. Atsuta Shrine has been especially revered since ancient times, worshipped by members of the Imperial Court and samurai warriors. Formerly built in the style of Owari-zukuri, the shrine was remodeled in 1893 in the Shimei-zukuri style, the same as Ise Shrine. Then, proceed to Makinohara, the most renowned tea-producing region which 20% of Japan’s tea leaves are cultivated. Tea has been grown in the area by family-run plantations for over 800 years. Tea leaves produced in Shizuoka Prefecture are characterised by a good balance of umami, aroma and astringency. Makinohara tea leaves in particular, are unique because they are steamed for extended hours – in a process called Fukamushi – to develop a bright colour and mild flavour. Admire the sweeping views of the tea plantation when you arrive at Grinpia Makinohara. Step into the tea factory, where you will learn about the manufacturing of Sencha (medium grade tea), from harvesting to processing, then to packaging of tea. Grinpia Makinohara also offers tea picking activity program, which is available from end April to early October (own expenses). Thereafter, drive to Shizuoka city.

Bid farewell to Hakone and depart for Tokyo. Make a stop at Tokyo Imperial Palace, the residence of the imperial family, to see the Nijubashi (Double Bridge), two bridges that form an entrance to the Imperial Palace grounds. It is one of the most well-known bridges in Japan. If you are looking at the bridge from the front, the two separate bridges appear as a single two-storey bridge. Next, visit the iconic Tokyo Skytree, a 634-meter-high broadcasting and observation tower, and a major landmark of Tokyo. It is the tallest structure in Japan and the second tallest in the world. The two observation decks (exclude admission) offer incredible, panoramic views of Tokyo. Try walking on the Galleria’s 110m-long glass floor to experience the illusion of levitating in mid-air. Thereafter, proceed to the famous Senso-ji Temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple, one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples. It is the oldest temple in Tokyo which was built in the 7th century. This Buddhist temple is a popular spot for omikuji, or fortunes. Try wafting incense smoke over your body, it is said to cure any ailments you may have and improve health. At the main entrance gate of Senso-ji Temple, admire the mighty Kaminarimon Gate (Thunder Gate), which is the most famous landmark in Asakusa and a favorite photo spot. Originally built in 942, the gate has been reconstructed several times after being damaged by fire and the current gate was rebuilt in 1960. The name of the gate is painted on the huge red lantern hanging in its center, with the fierce gods of wind and thunder standing guard. The intricate dragon-shaped engraving adorns the base of the lantern. Another two statues, the dragon-tailed gods Tenryu and Kinryu, can be seen from behind after passing through the gate. Next is the Hozomon Gate (commonly called Niomon Gate), originally built in 942 and the current gate was rebuilt in 1964. It stores traditional scriptures and Senso-ji’s treasures. The first storey enshrines two large statures of Nio, the guardian deities of the Buddha. There are also three lanterns and a pair of large sandals. Before leaving the temple grounds, pick up some last-minute souvenirs at the Nakamise Shopping Street, a 250-meter long bustling walkway with 89 stalls selling a variety of souvenirs, traditional snacks and savory street food. Proceed to visit the famous Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion Temple), a three-storey Zen temple in Kyoto, with its second and third floors entirely gilded with gold. Formally known as Rokuon-ji, the temple was the retirement villa of the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and it was converted into a temple after his death, according to his will. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994. Thereafter, visit the Nishijin Textile Center, where you can enjoy the Kimono Fashion Show and appreciate the fine creation of Japanese weaving.
Day 2: Kyoto - Amanohashidate (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning set off to visit Amanohashidate, a natural land bridge in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture. This natural land bridge is a sandbar that spans 3.6 km across Miyazu Bay and home to around 8000 Japanese pine trees. Amanohashidate, means “Bridge to Heaven”, is renowned as one of the three most scenic views of Japan. Then, head to Amanohashidate View Land, which is located at the south side of the sandbar. Take a Chairlift or monorail to the peak where you can get panoramic views of the entire Amanohashidate. The traditional way to view Amanohashidate is to bend over and see the sandbar from between your legs, the view looks like a dragon ascending to the heaven. This position is called “Matanozoki” in Japanese. Amanohashidate View Land also features a variety of amusement rides, such as a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, go-kart, cycle car, archery as well as a playground. Thereafter, proceed to Ine, a small fishing village that is famous for its unique Funaya (boat houses). It is a two-storey wooden boat house built directly on the water, with a boat garage on the first floor and a living quarter on the second floor. About 230 funaya houses are lined along the 5km coast of Ine Bay. Enjoy a 25-minute Boat Tour around the bay and see these boat houses from the water on a large sightseeing boat. You can also feed the nearby seagulls. The scenery of the group of funaya houses you see from the open upper deck makes it a truly special experience.
Day 3: Amanohashidate - Maizuru - Kobe (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Nagoya - Takayama (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start your day with a tour to Nagoya Castle, Japan’s first castle to be designated a National Treasure. The castle was completed in 1615 by the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo period. However, it was burned down in the 1945 air raids during the bombing of Nagoya in World War II and was rebuilt in steel reinforced concrete in 1959. The two Kinshachi (Golden Tiger-Carp) that sit on top of the castle roof are a famous symbol of Nagoya city. They were employed in traditional Japanese architecture as a talisman to prevent fires. Thereafter, drive to Takayama. Visit the Hida Folk Village, an open-air museum exhibiting more than 30 traditional farmhouses, including Gassho-zukuri-style Farmhouses with their steep thatched roofs resembling clasped hands in prayer. These houses were relocated from different parts of Hida region, the mountainous district of Gifu Prefecture around Takayama, ranging from 100 to 500 years in age and all of them are kept in their original condition. Each house has unique wooden architecture and exhibit tools and utensils used in everyday life in the past. Step back in time and witness how life was like in the mountain farming village centuries ago. Then, proceed to Takayama Old Town (Sanmachi Suji), where you will see beautifully preserved Edo period sake breweries and merchants’ houses with latticed bay windows standing in a row. Take a walk down the street and drop by the Sake Brewery to taste excellent sake and stock up on your souvenirs.

After breakfast, set off to Kofu. Visit the Takeda Shrine, established in 1919 at the site of Tsutsujigasaki Castle, the residence of local hero Takeda Shingen, one of the strongest feudal warlords in Japanese history. The shrine owns a tachi Japanese sword presented to Yamanashi Prefecture by Sanjo Sanetomi to commemorate the visit by Emperor Meiji in 1880. Step into the treasure house in which a variety of exhibits pertaining to Takeda Shingen are exhibited, including the sword, old battle strategy diagrams, weapons, tools and items of clothing used by him. Then, head to Fujikawaguchiko. Make a stop at Yamanashi Gem Museum, the only gem museum in Japan. 500 different types of 3,000 precious stones and gems collected from Japan and around the world are displayed, including a giant Brazilian crystal with a height of 1.8m and weight 1,270kg. The museum exhibits the gems from raw stone to cut stone and to jewelry products. Here, you can learn how the glittering jewels are created out of uncut stones. There is the museum shop selling all kinds of jewelry and trinkets at a bargain price. Next, visit Lake Kawaguchi, one of the five lakes near Mount Fuji, where you can enjoy fantastic views of Mount Fuji and the beautiful nature. On a still clear day, you can see a perfect mirror image of Mount Fuji reflected in the lake. Thereafter, proceed to Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
Day 6: Tokyo (Breakfast, Lunch)
This morning, you will head to Tokyo Imperial Palace, the residence of the imperial family, to see the Nijubashi (Double Bridge), two bridges that form an entrance to the Imperial Palace grounds. It is one of the most well-known bridges in Japan. If you are looking at the bridge from the front, the two separate bridges appear as a single two-storey bridge. Next, visit the iconic Tokyo Skytree, a 634-meter-high broadcasting and observation tower, and a major landmark of Tokyo. It is the tallest structure in Japan and the second tallest in the world. The two observation decks (exclude admission) offer incredible, panoramic views of Tokyo. Try walking on the Galleria’s 110m-long glass floor to experience the illusion of levitating in mid-air. Thereafter, proceed to the famous Senso-ji Temple, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple, one of Tokyo's most colorful and popular temples. It is the oldest temple in Tokyo which was built in the 7th century. This Buddhist temple is a popular spot for omikuji, or fortunes. Try wafting incense smoke over your body, it is said to cure any ailments you may have and improve health. At the main entrance gate of Senso-ji Temple, admire the mighty Kaminarimon Gate (Thunder Gate), which is the most famous landmark in Asakusa and a favorite photo spot. Originally built in 942, the gate has been reconstructed several times after being damaged by fire and the current gate was rebuilt in 1960. The name of the gate is painted on the huge red lantern hanging in its center, with the fierce gods of wind and thunder standing guard. The intricate dragon-shaped engraving adorns the base of the lantern. Another two statues, the dragon-tailed gods Tenryu and Kinryu, can be seen from behind after passing through the gate. Next is the Hozomon Gate (commonly called Niomon Gate), originally built in 942 and the current gate was rebuilt in 1964. It stores traditional scriptures and Senso-ji’s treasures. The first storey enshrines two large statures of Nio, the guardian deities of the Buddha. There are also three lanterns and a pair of large sandals. Before leaving the temple grounds, pick up some last-minute souvenirs at the Nakamise Shopping Street, a 250-meter long bustling walkway with 89 stalls selling a variety of souvenirs, traditional snacks and savory street food. Day 3: Kaike Onsen - Tottori - Kinosaki Onsen (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Japan’s one and only museum showcasing everything about pears, the Tottori Nijisseiki Pear Museumis dedicated to the popular fruit which is cultivated in the prefecture. Spread out over two floors, the museum has a range of exhibits to educate you about all things pear-related. Next, visit the icon of Tottori, the Tottori Sand Dunes. Spanning 16km by 2km along the coast of the Sea of Japan, the naturally formed sand dunes reach up to 50m in height. Trek up to the Umanose “Horse’s Back” for outstanding views of the sea and sand ripples caused by wind sweeping across its surface. After admiring these natural creations, head over to the Tottori Sand Museum nearby to marvel at some man-made wonders. The world’s first museum specializing in sand sculptures, masterpieces by sculptors from around the world are exhibited here. As the sculptures are made of sand, they eventually collapse, making their transience part of the attraction. This evening, pamper yourself and experience a different hot spring bath.
Day 4: Kinosaki Onsen - Himeji - Kobe (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
In refreshing morning travel to Himeji and visit Himeji Castle, also known as the White Heron Castle and is both a Japanese National Treasure and a World Heritage site. Its status as one of Japan's 12 remaining original castles makes this fortress a must for anyone interested the history of Japan. Afterwards, move to the adjacent Kokoen Garden, it is made up of nine separate walled gardens designed in various styles reflective of Edo-period architecture. The gardens were opened in 1992 to commemorate the centenary of Himeji City. View the world's longest suspension bridge, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge linking Kobe and Awaji Island at almost four kilometers in length. Arrive in Kobe, take your time to enjoy the shiny night view of Kobe, sparkling brilliantly like diamonds.

After hearty breakfast you will visit Todaiji Temple, home to the biggest bronze Buddha in the world, it also serves as the headquarters of an entire school of Buddhism known as Kegon. The Temple was founded in 728 by Emperor Shomu as a memorial for his first son, the Crown Prince Motoi who died one year after his birth. The most famous part is the Great Buddha Hall with its fishtail-like ornaments on top of the roof called “Shibi”. Next, get close and interact with Nara’s world-famous deer at Nara Park, a massive public park at the foot of Mount Wakakusa full of very playful and friendly deer. Make a stop Osaka Castle for photo taking, one of Japan’s most famous landmarks. Continue to Umeda Sky Building, the two towers that are connected at their uppermost storey by the “Floating Garden Observatory”. Today, take a leisure drive to Takachiho. Enjoy the spectacular view of Mount Aso, the largest active volcano in Japan and one of the biggest in the world; the peaks of Takadake and Nakadake dominate the Mount Aso skyline. Make a stop at Shirakawa Suigen, a well-known water spring in Minamiaso. It is the source of Shirakawa River which flows through Kumamoto city, where the spring water is said to be healing and relaxing. Visitors are free to drink from the spring or you may bring an empty water bottle to take the spring water home. Next, visit Amano Iwato Shrine and Amano Yasukawara Cave. Amano Iwato Shrine was built near the cave where Amaterasu the Sun Goddess is said to have hidden herself away. Amano Yasukawara is said to be the cave where the gods and goddesses met to discuss their strategy of luring Amaterasu out of hiding. Continue tour to Takachiho Gorge, a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River. The natural wonder was formed when a huge volcanic eruption occurred over 90,000 years ago.

Walk to the nearby well-preserved Teppo-machi Samurai Street, one of the surrounding residential districts of the samurai warriors who served the local lord. Day 4: Kirishima - Kagoshima (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Begin the day with a tour to Kirishima Jingu Shrine, a beautifully ornate temple known as the Nikko of the West. The shrine was rebuilt in 1715 and designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Then, head to Kagoshima. Take ferry ride to one of Japan's most active volcanoes and the symbol of Kagoshima – Sakurajima Island. The 1,117-meter-high volcano smokes constantly and minor eruptions often take place multiple times per day. Stroll through the landscape of lava fields and enjoy a relaxing volcanic footbath. Thereafter, explore Sengan-en, a former residence of the ruling Shimazu clan, built in 1658. It was designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2015. It has a gorgeous garden that includes small ponds, streams, shrines and a bamboo grove. The house lies at the center of the garden, features a fascinating mix of Japanese, Chinese and Western influences. Here, you can enjoy spectacular views over Kagoshima Bay and Sakurajima Volcano. Visit Shoko Shuseikan Museum (UNESCO), located within the Sengan-en Garden, introduces the history of the Shimazu family and its initiatives to modernize Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1912). It was first built as a metal processing factory in 1865 and is the oldest existing western style building in Japan. The museum exhibits approximately 10,000 items including Satsuma Kiriko cut-glass produced in the Edo period, daguerreotype photographs and machines used at the factory.
Day 5: Kagoshima - Fukuoka (Breakfast, Lunch)
Sit back and relax on your drive back to Fukuoka, the largest city in Kyushu. Visit Fukuoka’s most famous Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, an ancient shrine dedicated to the spirit of Sugawara Michizane, a learned scholar of the Heian period. Over 6,000 plum trees are planted in the shrine's grounds and blossom in unison every March. Then, shop at the famous Canal City Hakata, a large shopping and entertainment complex with about 250 shops, cafes and restaurants, cinemas, game center and two hotels.

Day 2: Naha - Nago - Onna Village (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start your day with a tour toCape Manzamo, an iconic viewpoint in Okinawa, is a scenic rock formation that results from wave erosion, which resembles an elephant's trunk. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the stone cliff that overlooks the spectacular East China Sea. Take a ride on the Glass Bottom Boat to see the beautiful coral reefs and colorful tropical fishes. Admire the underwater beauty of Okinawa without getting wet. Next, proceed to Nakijin Castle Ruins, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, was a castle of the Hokuzan king during the Sanzan Period (from 1322 to 1429). Thereafter, visit one of Japan’s cutest theme parks at Nago Pineapple Park. Venture through a tropical forest as you ride on a pineapple cart and get the opportunity to try their various kinds of products made with fresh pineapples including wine, juices as well as desserts.
Day 3: Onna Village - Okinawa City - Naha (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy a morning tour to Ryukyu Mura Village, a theme park showcasing the culture of old Okinawa with historic buildings, traditional Okinawan dance and music performances. Next, step into the nature wonderland of Southeast Botanical Gardens and marvel at thousands of flora and adorable fauna. You will find over 2000 species of subtropical and tropical plants from South East Asia and South America. Enjoy a walking tour at Shurijo Castle, another UNESCO World Heritage site, the palace of the Ryukyu kings from 1429 to 1879. The castle has been destroyed repeatedly throughout history but was rebuilt in 1992. It is the only castle of the era that has been rebuilt to its former splendor. Then, proceed to the First Makishi Public Market, a covered marketplace which has over 150 stores selling fresh seafood, meat, fruits and more. Lastly, discover Kokusai-Dori Street, a vibrant and bustling shopping strip that stretches 2 kilometers through the heart of downtown Naha.
Day 4: Naha - Itoman - Nanjo - Naha (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, you will proceed for Naha City sightseeing. Next, visit Okinawa Traditional Crafts and Ryukyu Glass Village, the largest handmade glass workshop in Okinawa. You can observe the wonderful skill of the craftsmen blowing the glass. Step into Okinawa World, a tourist theme park in Nanjo, to explore Gyokusendo Cave, a beautiful natural limestone cave that was formed over 300,000 years ago. There is also a traditional-style village, Eisa dance performance and Habu snake.
